We recently visited the famous Taj Mahal and Agra fort where Shahajahan was arrested and kept by his son Ourangjeb. He spent his last 8 years in jail looking at the grave of Mumtaj in Taj Mahal from a distance of about 10 miles. Shahajahan was not allowed to visit Mumtaj's grave. The only time he went closer to her grave when Shahajahan was burried next to her.
What a father's gift of son to his father!
We are told that Tajmahal was symbol of love, but....
1) Mumtaz was Shahjahan's 4th wife out of his seven wives (great).
2) Shahjahan killed Mumtaz's husband to marry her (excellent).
3) Mumtaz died during her 14th delivery (wow).
4) After her death Shahjahan married Mumtaz's sister (amezing).
Where the hell was love?
