WATCH INDIAN CLASSICAL DANCE AT GERMANY'S INDUSTRIAL FAIR

WATCH INDIAN CLASSICAL DANCE AT GERMANY'S INDUSTRIAL FAIR

Please read this before you watch the video. It will give you the context about the event.
I don’t know how many of you are familiar with the Hannover Messe (English: Hanover Fair)? It is the world's biggest industrial fair. It is held in Hanover, Germany every year since 1947. This year the fair was held from April 13th to 17th. Typically, there are about 6,500 to 7,000 exhibitors from about 80 countries and there are 250,000 to 300,00 visitors of which about 80,000 come from outside Europe. This is the world’s largest and most comprehensive industrial technology event and covers all the core themes of the future industrial “revolution.” The countries take the opportunity to showcase their technologies for tomorrow’s production plants and energy systems etc.
According to several reports I read about this year’s fair, robots figured prominently at the fair, drawing keen visitor interest with their captivating demonstrations of speed, precision and power. It also demonstrated a new trend, so to speak, in which robots and people work together as “team players” in handling monotonous and physically demanding tasks.
Every year the fair has a “partner” country with Germany and, mostly, the partner countries are industrial countries like USA, France, Japan, China……………..! This year India made a real “splash” as this year's Partner Country, creating a truly impressive showcase to promote Modi’s 'Make in India' campaign. Visitors were delighted with India's confident, innovative and fresh presence. India successfully positioned itself as an up-and-coming industrial nation with more than 400 Indian companies (yes, FOUR HUNDRED) displaying not only their goods and services but also their technical skills, engineering capabilities and human resources at the huge India Pavilion. India’s objective was, of course, to encourage foreign companies to set up industries in India as Narendra Modi has been campaigning ever since he became the Prime Minister. In fact, the opening ceremony of this year’s fair was performed by Narendra Modi who was there as German Chancellor, Angela Merkel’s guest. He was accompanied by India’s Commerce & Industry Minister, Shrimati Nirmala Sitharaman. Narendra. Modi, in his inaugural speech at the opening ceremony again emphasized his “Make in India” campaign by “opening the door” and inviting foreign companies to set up shops in India. At the show, Indian companies were able to showcase their technical skills, engineering capabilities and human resources before a global audience." Besides Narendra Modi and Nirmala Sitharam and many other Indian Government officials, there were many prominent Indian business leaders at the fair.
With the 'Make in India' theme splashed all over, the Indian presence was not only pre-dominantly visible in the fairground but also all over the city of Hannover.
Enough said! Now, turn on your speakers, click open the link below and watch the FANTASTIC artistic presentation by Indian dancers at the inaugural ceremony. In my personal opinion, it is an extremely well choreographed program! I am sure it will make you proud! Make sure you watch it to the end.
